The
RTDOC group at the Univeristy of Rhode
Island performs research and development
of real-time distributed object computing
technology. Real-time applications have
timing constraints, such as deadlines
and/or periods of execution. Examples
of distributed real-time systems include
military command and control applications,
manufacturing control, sensor networks,
and telecommunication. We express, enforce,
and analyze real-time requirements, by
using, adapting, and extending, classic
real-time scheduling algorithms, mechanisms,
and approaches in the distributed object
paradigm.
